Held every five years in Kassel, Hessel, Germany, documenta is an international art festival that has a significant impact on the contemporary art world. Directed by the Indonesian collective ruangrupa, 2022’s documenta 15 sparked a great deal of debate not only in the art world but also in society at large. However, the main debate that surrounded the festival may not have addressed its core issues. In this program, three curators and one artist gathered to share their perspectives upon visiting documenta and exchange ideas with the audience.
